I am so glad you decided to use Google Earth with your students during your practicum. That is such a great experience for them to learn through this tool that is so powerful! What I liked the most about your reflection is that you understood that the technology is not only there to make things fun or engaging, but to actually help you teach the students something that would be pretty hard to teach without the technology. For example, at the end of your report you said that students learned "why", not just "what". That means that the technology you used added value to your instruction. You are right, also, that students would benefit from interacting with the technology. Maybe next time you teach it you can have the students take turns on the computer or check out some laptops. I am so glad you were able to be in this class. I know you will be a great teacher.
